Ed McCaffrey has confirmed his family is no longer boycotting Taylor Swift, putting to rest any notion of lingering hostility towards the NFL's most famous couple.
The McCaffrey family had temporarily cut the popstar and her music from their lives in the weeks leading up to last year's Super Bowl.
The decision came as their son Christian, star running back for the San Francisco 49ers, prepared to face Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The showdown in Las Vegas ended with Swift and Kelce having the last laugh as the Chiefs won 25-22 in an overtime thriller.

Now Ed, a former NFL player himself, has dismissed any suggestion of ongoing animosity, even showing off Swift decorations in their family home during a recent Fox News interview.
Lisa McCaffrey, Christian's mother, had made headlines when she vowed to boycott Swift's music before the Super Bowl clash.
Speaking on Olivia Culpo's podcast, Lisa had declared: 'I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days.'
She explained her temporary stance against the global superstar in no uncertain terms.
'I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs,' Lisa said at the time.

Her boycott was absolute, adding: 'If she pops up on the radio station . . . nope. She's dead to us this week.'
During the Fox News interview, Ed McCaffrey took the computer into their living room to showcase Swift decorations in their home.
'In terms of being a fan of Taylor Swift, that (a Swift decoration) is in our house,' he explained.
He emphasised his wife's longstanding admiration for the singer.
'My wife Lisa has probably been one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans despite the fact that she's dating Travis Kelce and obviously the 49ers had to play them in the Super Bowl, Lisa is an incredible fan, she's such a phenomenal artist,' Ed said.

He appeared puzzled by the attention the boycott received.
'I don't know why that was such a big deal back then I don't even remember what it was about,' he added.
'Just to put that matter to rest, we were fans long before she was dating Travis Kelce, and I don't even remember what happened with the Super Bowl, but there are certainly no issues here in the McCaffrey family.'
Ed is now preparing to become a grandfather following Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo's pregnancy announcement last month.

The couple shared the happy news that they are expecting their first child together.
Meanwhile, in the Kelce family, Travis's mother Donna has sparked speculation about her youngest son and Swift.
This comes just days after Donna became a grandmother for the fourth time.
